3 Vehicle Accident Near Stringfellow & Lolly

At approximately 4:30pm, 8-24-18, there was a three vehicle involved accident. Impact occurred near Stringfellow & Lolly roads. Original report of a rollover turned out to be incorrect. The ambulance transported at least one person to the Cape Coral Hospital. A white Nissan destroyed its front end after impacting a Dodge 4x4 and a pickup truck.

V1 southbound on Stringfellow road going approximately 50 mph crashes into the back of v2 who had slowed to about 5 mph southbound on Stringfellow road as v3 had made a complete stop to oncoming Traffic as v3 was attempting a left hand turn onto Lolly Road, Bokeelia. Deputy Wylie was northbound and was passing in the opposite direction when v1 violently crashed into v2 and V3.

Deputy Wylie called out the crash to Lee County dispatch and made a safe u-turn back southbound to assist with any injuries and work the crash which occurred in his presence. V1 driver was Complaining of neck and chest pain as v1 air bags had deployed. Lee Control EMS was notified and responded. V1 driver was transported to Cape Coral Hospital with unknown chest/neck injuries conscious and breathing. No other injuries were reported from v2 or v3. V1 was towed by Jaimes towing as it was wrecked and un-driveable. V2 was towed by V2 drivers insurance company per request and v3 Was drivable.

V1 driver was issued a citation for not having a drivers license (only a Florida Identification card), and a careless driving violation. V2 driver was issued a citation for not having a valid drivers license (suspended unknowing). No other violations were evident. Deputy Wylie responded to Cape Coral Hospital and checked on V1 driver, who was being treated for her injuries. V1 driver was conscious and alert. Deputy Wylie issued her aforementioned citations with a mandatory court appearance. No further law enforcement action was taken.
