Little Pine Island Bridge Reconstruction Begins

From: District One-Fort Myers Operations Center, Florida DOT

"Since reducing the Little Pine Island Bridge to one lane, the work zone required preparation as crews striped the roadway and installed barrier wall. Additionally, there was coordination of multiple subcontractors leading up to construction. As of now, work is gearing up as demolition of the blue house and sawcutting have begun."

LEE COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District One, wants to remind the public of the upcoming reconstruction of the Little Pine Island Bridge in Matlacha, Florida. The bridge will be reduced to one lane during the nighttime/overnight hours of Monday, June 17, as a part of the Phase I construction plan.
