Commissioners Approve Expansion of Eastbound Right-turn Lane

Fort Myers, FL, June 18, 2024 – The Lee Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday voted to approve an agreement with a developer who will donate right-of-way along Pine Island Road to allow construction to extend the eastbound right-turn lane onto southbound Veterans Parkway for motorists exiting the Matlacha-Pine Island area.

Lee County reminds Pine Island residents two more opportunities exist on-island for in-person LeeCares assistance  

Fort Myers, FL, April 12, 2024 – Pine Island residents seeking assistance from LeeCares have two more opportunities complete an application with a case manager on-island. LeeCares case managers will be at the Pine Island Public Library, 10701 Russell Road, Bokeelia, on April 17 and April 24 from 10a.m. until 2:30 p.m. 

"Windows" Hijack Error on Lee County Electric Coop Website

Monday 3-18-24, When attempting to login to their Lee County Electric Coop website and pay their monthly bill, some Windows desktop users got an error virus which looked like an official Microsoft Windows Warning (don't they all.) The virus locked up the monitor screen with blinking boxes and stated the the user's computer had been essentially hijacked, that the user should not turn off the computer and instead call a phone number to unfreeze the computer.

Lee County Animal Serv to Hold Vaccine Clinic on Pine Is, Nov. 2nd

Join Lee County Domestic Animal Services and the Lee County Sheriff's Office for a pet vaccine clinic for the residents on Pine Island.

This will be held 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at 5630 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia, just east of the fire station.
