Bokeelia, 9-16-25, at Approximately 6:00 AM multiple emergency units from the Matlacha-Pine Island Fire Department and the Lee County Sheriff’s Department responded to a multiple residential structure fire at The Palms at Pine Island on Stringfellow Road in Bokeelia FL.

Upon arriving, they found two mobile homes fully engulfed in flames.  A third mobile home had damage to the side. The Fire department quickly responded to the burning structures, trying to stop the spread to other homes. The structures were a total loss.

Lee County Sheriff's Department evacuating the surrounding residences and got people to a safe area.  Around 20 fire fighters were on site, since the call came in right around shift change. This allowed the crews to rotate fire fighters during the high-stress, high heat event. Firefighters located a hydrant approximately 700 foot away and deployed large fire hoses to ensure consistent water flow.

One person was transported to the hospital with injuries.

The fire is still under investigation.
