Pine Island, Fla. – Fire Rescue units located the body of a missing man, Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at approximately 9:00 AM. The Coast Guard and local agencies searched a 50 – square mile areas between Charlotte Harbor and North of Pine Island. The Pine Island Fire Rescue unit transferred the body to the emergency medical services waiting on the beach. The victim was later identified as 88 year old Robert Hodge of Bokeelia.
